Welcome to Acorns Nursery, where children are at the heart of all we do.
We are very proud of our Nursery, Ofsted Graded OUTSTANDING, June 2023. It is a very special place where children love to learn through play. We offer a warm, nurturing environment which provides children with many opportunities to develop their confidence, social skills, independence and a love of learning.
Our bespoke nursery building offers a varied and stimulating learning environment for our children. We are fortunate to have our own nursery playground within our wider EYFS playground. Acorns benefit from being part of Claygate Primary School, a thriving school community with access to all of its facilities and staff expertise.

To end our "Castle and Knights" topic, on Wednesday we participated in a Medieval Day! We all dressed up as Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses and Knights; it was a royal celebration! We started the day, discussing the difference between past and present monarchs and then moved between different activities. We made our own knights, played medieval garden games, baked an apple pie, took part in medieval dancing and created our own medieval narratives in the role play and small world. We ended our day with a medieval banquet type picnic! We had so much fun
